On Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, we will be giving visitors to the library copies from a selection of books that address the residential school experience in Canada.
We will have books for all ages and a combination of fiction and nonfiction that we will be giving away during open hours on a first-come first-served basis.
The idea behind this free book giveaway is that you will take a book that speaks to you, read it, and pass it along to someone else as a way of supporting learning and growing understanding of truth and reconciliation in our community.
We encourage you to come to the library, pick a book, and attend the Squamish Nation's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event downtown at 12:30pm on Monday, September 30.

Conveniently located downtown, the Squamish Public Library has a large meeting room, quiet study spaces, an outdoor pickup window, and an art gallery.
